Translations is the newest in a long list of enterprise-ready capabilities weâve added for the last couple of years. As most B2B SaaS companies in the mid-market and enterprise space serve multiple countries and languages, their marketplace should be able to as well.
With translations enabled, your marketplace will automatically update to the language set in the viewerâs browser. Additionally, theyâll have the option to select any language you offer from a dropdown menu.

How it works: marketplace translations for visitors
Your marketplace will load the default language of your visitorâs browser, which is likely to be their first choice. So, for example, a Colombian visitor will see your marketplace in Spanish, a French visitor will see it in French, etc. So they donât have to take any action to translate it into their language of choice.
Hereâs how a Partner Fleet marketplace could look, translated into Spanish:

However, if a visitor has their default language set to English for some reason, they can choose another language from a dropdown on your marketplace (this can be placed anywhere you like â in the footer, above listings, etc.).

All the text youâve set as âSpanishâ in the back-end is what theyâll see. If there are any listings, categories or filters, or other text that have not been translated in the back-end, your marketplace will default to English.
Translations work on your public marketplace and your in-app marketplace.
Note: You choose available languages and update the text. So a German-speaking visitor will not see German if you have translations set up for English and Spanish. We plan to add AI automated translations in the future, but itâs not available yet.
Translation best practices
A couple of things to consider when building out translations on your marketplace.
- Have a native or fluent speaker read over and provide edits on your content after you update it. If you donât have a native speaker internally, you should be able to find one on a services site like Fiverr.
- In general, it is not common in many languages (including Spanish and French) to capitalize every significant word in a heading the way it often is in English Title Case. Instead, the typical practice in many languages is to use sentence-style capitalization.
- Make sure your marketplace is built with a font that includes umlauts, accents, and other letters or characters not used in English. Otherwise those letters wonât appear on the front end.
